Highland County OH - Lynchburg Covered Bridge

100 High St
Lynchburg, OH 45142

Leaving the Martinsville bridge we continued down Martinsville Road and turned left onto State Route 28 and into Martinsville itself.  Just on the east side of town we turned right on State Route 134 to the south.  Rolling down St. Rt. 134 we passed many farms and made a few 90º turns.  In just 8 short miles we were in Lynchburg where we turned right on High St in downtown and there was the bridge.  It spans 103' over the East Fork of the Little Miami River but no longer carries traffic.  It was built in 1870 using long truss construction.  It was Thanksgiving weekend and a couple of volunteers were decorating the bridge for the holidays.
