The Snow Hill Covered Bridge, also known as Johnson's Fork Covered Bridge, crosses Johnson's Fork in Section 26, Township 8 North, Range 1 West, on County Road 950 East at Snow Hill Road north of Rockdale, Franklin County. This single span Howe Truss structure has a length of 72 feet, or 82 feet including the 5-foot overhang at each end, with a portal clearance 14 feet wide by 13 feet 6 inches high. Built in 1894 by William Butts and John Horn, the Snow Hill Covered Bridge was named for a local family.  Getting to Snow Hill bridge is one of our favorite rides close to home.  We go out to Alert New London Road and turn south on California Road.  Turn left on Schoenling Road. right on State Line Road and then on Cox Road which turns into Carolina Trace Road.  Turn left on Drewersburg Road and then right on Johnson Fork Road and you'll be at the bridge.
