Day One – Home to Champaign IL - Miles: 232
We were planning on a 700 mile day on Thursday to kick things off but the forecast was rain and we didn't want to start a 700 mile day in the dark and rain so we decided to bite the bullet and ride through the rain on Wednesday afternoon and see if we could get on the other side of the storm. We hit rain on the other side of Indy but by the time we reached Danville it had mostly cleared so we deiced to ride to Champaign IL where we booked a room at the Hampton that was within walking distance to a brewery. After unpacking we walked to 25 o'clock Brewing Company for a pint and then walked to a Thai restaurant around the corner. We didn't stop the entire time and rode only on the interstate, so it wasn't that great of a ride but it sure made the next day more enjoyable.
