To Boone NC and back

We found a Monday and Tuesday in October where our schedules didn't have any conflicts so we decided to take a quick ride to enjoy some roads and the fall colors. Unfortunately the weather was not very cooperative but we went anyway.


We started out with nice enough weather but it quickly turned ugly and we spent a good deal of both days riding in the rain. We rode down through Mountain City on our way to Boone taking a detour at Trade TN and going down through Meat Camp NC and into Boone. We stayed at the Hampton Inn and went next door to a steak joint for some grub. Coming back we rode through again for most of the day.
