Rush County IN - Smith Covered Bridge
1486-1492 E 150 N
Rushville, IN 46173
In one of our numerous trips to the Brookville Lake area we decided to go up the west side of the lake in a mostly futile attempt to find some twisty roads. We found Columbia Rd off of IN 121 and rode that into Rushville where we rode up through the Northeast side of town and turned right on CR150N where in less than half a mile we were at Smith CB. This is another bridge built by the Kennedy boys back in 1877. It is a covered burr arch truss and spans 177’ over the Flatrock River. It is still in use and very good condition.
