It's always a challenge to ride down south without covering a lot of the same roads. Fortunately the roads in the South are always quite good a little bit of repeating isn't all that bad. In this trip we were able to cover some new ground as we tried to be creative take a different approach to coming into TN

Day One
We rode down I-75 jumping off just south of Corbin on Hwy25 better known as Cumberland Falls Highway. We rode down to the falls but didn't stay very long as we had all been there before. The weather was very nice on this mid-September Friday morning. After the falls we continued on KY700 and eventually connected with US27 to Oneida before heading west on KY297 and into the Scott State Forest. We stopped at the East Rim Overlook to get a glimpse of the Big South Fork Cumberland River. The overlook is very nice and certainly worth a visit having a high elevated overlook. We continued riding west on a series of backroads that were narrow but also lots of fun riding. We stopped at Beaty Wildwood Grocery to get a quick sandwich and continued on stopping again at Burgess Falls State Park. This is another really good state park. We didn't take the time to hike all the way back to the big falls but we did walk down to the Middle falls, and because the water was so low there wasn't much to see. We continued on the backroads, but riding occasionally on US127 and US27 when necessary. As we got closer to the hotel which was on the outskirts of the city we thought we should eat something quick so we could visit the breweries downtown. After a quick Subway we arrived and ubered downtown. We first stopped at Chattanooga Brewing and then walked to Hutton & Smith before heading back to the hotel. A later night but what else could we do?

Day Two
We didn't go anywhere for breakfast just grabbing a quick bite at the Homewood Suites. We took the most direct to Cherohala to ride the Skyway and then North of Lake Sanrteetlah and on to the Tail of the Dragon. We followed that up with the Foothill Parkway and called it a day after that getting on I-75 and riding the superslab home.
