Rush County IN - Moscow Covered Bridge
Water St
Moscow IN

Leaving Stockheughter Bridge we traveled back the same way and got back onto I-74 and exited in Greensburg onto IN3 going north which is exit 134.  It's a straight shot up IN3 to C900S just south of IN244 and Milroy.  We turned west on C900S and rode maybe four miles straight as an arrow before we reached an 'S' turn and headed into the woods.  Traveling on C900S it is evident that we were in Amish country.  We didn't see any buggies on the road but we did see them at some of the homes along the road.  Less than a half a mile in the woods and we were at the Big Flatrock River and the Moscow Bridge stretched out in front of us.  The bridge was built 1886 by E.L. Kennedy from the famous Kennedy family.  The bridge appears to be in great shape and spans 334' over the Big Flatrock River in Rush County.  The double Burr Arch Truss is impressive.  The bridge has lattice ventilators (pic7) which are very uncommon.  The town of Moscow is also unique and has some interesting history, most notable of which is the birthplace of the famous boxer Kid McCoy.
