It seems that after every trip to the Northeast we are more than ready to go back out west. For 2023 we were planning on 10 days of riding which meant we couldn't really ride to the far west, so we thought to ourselves what area do we like best and the easy answer is Colorado. Our plan was to focus on Colorado and maybe a little foray into Utah. We were not going to concern ourselves if we had ridden on a particular road or already visited a particular place we were simply going to ride where we wanted. As it tuned out we were able to plan a few new areas. We rode Mt Evans for the first time, stayed in Crested Butte and Central city for the first time visited Royal Gorge Park. All in all it was a very good trip with decent weather. I'm not exact sure but it seemed like everyday when we were up in the mountains we got just a little rain. We never had to don our rain suits but it seemed to happen every day. Therefore when naming the trip it seemed like a perfect theme name for the trip!
