2020 is a year certainly like no other. We had planned a trip to the West coast going through Oregon and riding the coast down to California, but when the China Virus hit we had to alter our plans. We felt it was too good of a trip to risk things being closed and compromising the ride, and we thought we could always ride it next year. So, we decided to make two 7 day trips rather than one two-week trip. We decided to ride the perimeter of MI, cross over to WI and ride up into Door County and then touch MN before coming back home. We had never ridden the East coast of MI or Door County and felt there would be some good new areas to cover. Another major change to the trip this year was we would both be riding new bikes. Steve had purchased a Grand America late in 2019 and I borrowed it for a ride with my wife and she liked it far better than my RT, so with the promise she would ride more I went and purchased a Grand America as well. The same year and color as Steve's. It wasn't my plan to do that but I wanted to keep my RT and therefore had to find a good used one and I got what I got. New bikes and a recently re-scheduled route made for an interesting trip. We had really good weather and walked away from the trip greatly appreciating the state of MI. The roads were not all that exciting to ride, but the scenery was very good and we really enjoyed the trip.
